This powertrain provides a towing capacity of 907 kg (2,000 lbs), which is higher than all RAV4 models except for the RAV4 Trail, which has a towing capacity of 1,588 kg (3,500 lbs).

The Cherokee Altitude, Trailhawk and Limited versions come standard with a 3.2L Pentastar V6 engine, a 9-speed automatic transmission and 4x4 traction. This powertrain delivers 271 hp, 239 lb-ft of torque and a towing capacity of 4,500 lbs. Lastly, the Altitude and Limited versions can be equipped with the 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, which delivers 270 hp, 295 lb-ft of torque and 1,800 kg (4,000 lbs) of towing capacity.

The 2021 RAV4 simply doesn't do much to impress with its infotainment technologies. Branded as Connected Services by Toyota, these features and services have remained the same for years.

In fact, the only addition to the 2021 edition was TSS 2.0 suite, which includes the pre-collision system, lane keep assist, automatic high beams and radar cruise control. In addition to the TSS 2.0 suite, the 2021 RAV4 is also equipped with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Depending on the trim and options you choose, the 2021 Cherokee can be equipped with more than 80 standard and optional safety features. These advanced technologies include LaneSense Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, Park-Sense Backup Assist, Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Blind Spot Monitoring, the Electronic Parking Brake Button and Hill Start Assist.

The 2021 Cherokee Trailhawk is Trail Rated and is even safe on logging roads, which is not the case for the 2021 RAV4 Trail. The Trail Rated certification is only given to vehicles that have successfully passed a series of tests that demonstrate they can withstand even the harshest driving conditions. The 2021 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk passed all of these tests and was therefore certified as Trail Rated. The 2021 RAV4 Trail did not, and therefore it cannot use the Trail Rated badge.
