Exterior Design
 

After 30 years on the road and now in its 5th generation, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee always manages to remain modern!  This Jeep SUV is launching with a brand-new look in 2022, leaving behind the style of the 4th generation. In fact, we've already seen a glimpse of the new look with the Grand Cherokee L a few months ago.

The Grand Cherokee bears some design similarities with the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, but its muscular and elegant silhouette comes with a 2022 twist. With its floating roof design, 17- to 21-inch wheels, version-specific badging, front and rear LED headlights and a longer hood, we can't get enough of this elegant SUV.

2022 Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve

Several engines are on offer for 2022, but the 475-horsepower 6.4 L HEMI V8 and the 707-horsepower 6.2 L V8 engines are not available for the 2022 model year.

All versions come standard with a 3.6 L V6 engine with 293 horsepower, but you can also choose the optional 5.7 L V8 engine with 357 horsepower. Also note that all powertrains are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Your 2022 Grand Cherokee can be equipped with the Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II or Quadra-Drive II 4x4 drivetrains, and they all boast incredible off-road capabilities that are well ahead of its rivals.

Lastly, depending on the engine and version you choose, the 2022 Grand Cherokee offers a towing capacity ranging between 6,200 and 7,200 pounds, which is also far ahead of its competitors.

The Plug-In Hybrid: the Grand Cherokee 4xe

 

The Grand Cherokee 4xe is scheduled for release later in 2022. It will be equipped with a hybrid powertrain similar to the one already present under the hood of the 2021 Wrangler 4xe. This powertrain brings together a 270-horsepower turbocharged 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine with a 114-horsepower electric motor, generating 375 net horsepower. What's more, it also offers a 40 km range in all-electric mode without using a single drop of fuel!

This version also delivers a very respectable towing capacity of 6000 pounds.

Interior
 

Need lots of space? The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee offers you room to spare! You can to store up to 1,068 litres behind the second row of seats, which can be folded to offer 2005 litres of space!

Passengers will always travel comfortably thanks to its spacious interior and very comfortable seats. True to its traditions, Jeep has packed the interior of the Cherokee with plenty of technologies and features, such as new 8- and 12-way power-adjustable front seats, heated and ventilated front and rear seats, 2- and 4-zone climate control, and much more, depending on the model.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee L delivers everything we love about the Grand Cherokee, but also adds a 3rd row of seats. Even big families can enjoy the thrill and power of the Grand Cherokee!

With room for 7 passengers thanks to its 3 rows of seats, the Grand Cherokee L is offered in 6 versions with prices ranging from $53,545 to $80,040. It can be equipped with either a V6 engine with 290 horsepower, or with a V8 engine with 357 horsepower.
